137/366 where winged insects go to die

I went into the shed for some potting soil the other day and noticed a few wasps tapping around the plexiglass window. I hightailed it out of there and made a mental note to advise Hubs of the situation. (And then forgot. Dude, if you're reading this, you have a wasp problem in the shed.)

Well, I guess they had trouble getting out. I looked at that same window from the outside today, and found those wasps—and some other winged creatures—dead on the window sill.

What in the world is that blue thing??
That is one nasty looking stinger.
Cathy, ask your dad if I should be alarmed.

And this, I guess, is a fly that has been dead for a very long time. At least I hope that's what it is. So hairy. Yuck.

Enough bugs? I thought so. I'll leave you with some cheery strawberries and chives.
Happy Thursday everyone!
