I've spent the day baking. I now have nine cakes stacked in my refrigerator—three 6" layers, three 8" layers, three 10" layers. Tomorrow morning they will be filled with jam, frosted, stacked, and wrapped in shimmering ribbon with hand-sewn rhinestones.
I have a busy Saturday ahead. And an equally busy Sunday. I'm sure I'll spend a good portion of Monday in a coma, or at least a fog. But hopefully I'll have pictures of the finished product to share with you by Tuesday.
