During a stressful week, with very little sleep,
macro is my escape.
I spent 45 minutes photographing this dandelion.
Afterward, I was as recharged as if I had taken a 45 minute nap.
A pull-back of my set up.
My trusty macro lens, a sturdy tripod (finally!), and a clothespin.
This session was really powerful for me. I realized how relaxed and focused I can be while photographing. I was so focused on the dandelion, I didn't even realize it had started pouring rain just beyond my cover. As corny as it sounds, this may have been a defining moment for me.
