His teacher gave him a stack of books and a Reading Log to keep track of what he reads. I make him write the titles, because he still needs lots of practice writing. I love watching him write, and I love watching him try to figure out how words are spelled. His willingness to write—and even color!—has increased tremendously since he started kindergarten. That makes me happy. ♥
