I hope everyone had a fun, safe Halloween! We sure did. We've all had more than our fair share of candy. I'm determined to make healthy food all week to compensate. I'm also encouraging my kids to include some healthy snacks with their candy, but it's tough.
I have the most success when I make it fun. These photos are from a session with M&Ms, roasted pumpkin seeds, and bananas. H made the sunflower above, and J dotted his banana with his candies. (The only evidence of his snack is his sticky, chocolatey hands and mouth!)
Even with the healthful additions, at these ages (5 and 2), I bet they get tired of their candy before it's all gone. And then what on Earth will I do with it? Hmm...I'll figure out something.
