I did a bunch of yard work yesterday—pulling weeds, prepping garden beds, planting seeds. By the time I finished, my work shoes were caked with mud. It was a sunny day, so I left them out on the deck to dry. (It makes the mud easier to get off.) I promptly forgot about them.
When I woke up this morning and opened the curtains, I realized that I had left them out overnight, and that it had, in fact, rained overnight. Now I have muddy, soaking wet shoes.
Darn. I guess that means no more yard work for me until they dry.

It's encouraging for we mere mortals to know that you have occasional moments of stupid.
Grandpa Bill makes me laugh.
LOL! The perils of yard work... Stuff them full of newspaper and they'll dry pretty quickly :)
