When I asked the kids to list their favorite parts of our Seattle trip, I expected the Space Needle to be at the top. It was, but it was tied with Discovery Park. It's a gorgeous park with miles of hiking and biking trails, rocky beach access (great for finding shells and sea glass!), and beautiful grassy meadows. The trails from the parking lots to the beach access (our main objective on both days we went) were almost too long for our short-legged hikers, but they persevered and did great. I'd love to come back here and walk the 2.8 mile loop sometime!
