279/366 shadow ghosties

Sweetpea realized she could make a ghost shape with her hand this afternoon. I asked her if she'd be willing to do it again for a picture in a few minutes. She agreed. I fixed her after-school snack and put her on notice that I would be calling her over soon. Since the plastic ghost in the window sill was key to the story, I figured I could best capture the scene from outside the window. It worked, for the most part. I was so focused on getting my composition the way I wanted, I neglected to see the striped reflections obscuring the ghost shadows.

On top of that, the whole scene is too busy to have much impact. I'm pretty disappointed in the image, but the concept had merit.

ah ! pas toujours simple de réussir la photo que l'on a en tête, rien n'est plus merveilleux que notre cerveau et nos yeux, il n'est pas né l'appareil photo qui remplacera tout ça ;)

I think it is a fantastic photo despite the fact it is a bit busy. The streaks just add to the mood. I love it.

Thank you, Phyllis!

You're right, Sophie. As sophisticated as cameras are, they're still not as complex as our eyes. That's the challenge of photography for me. . . making images that are as gorgeous as what my eyes see!
