You know, I used to be the kind of person that would dip bread in the egg-milk-vanilla-salt mixture and put it into a dry nonstick pan. Skip the oil and save some calories. But now, I'm embracing the "Life is Short" attitude. I fried these puppies in plenty of oil. It's such an improvement that I can handle having French toast less often if it means I can fry it.
