I have a confession to make.
I have a strange habit when it comes to my egg carton.
One might even say I'm on the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder spectrum...but I wouldn't be diagnosed for this one thing.
When I take eggs out of the carton for breakfast/lunch/dinner/cake, I take them equally from each side.
It all started when H was a newborn, and insisted on being held 24 hours a day. I had to learn to do everything with one hand, so I began balancing my egg carton. Think about it--if you take all your eggs from one side and then try to pull the carton out with one hand, one end of the carton will be heavier than the other. And if the heavy end is opposite the hand holding the carton--splat--all your eggs fall to the floor.
So I take eggs evenly from each side to distribute the weight. I always have a balanced egg carton. Sure, there are times when I need an odd number of eggs, so it could be off by one, but it's still relatively balanced.
What can I say? We all have our quirks. :)
