From the top, before the fall — and after the fall, from the bottom
We drive past this waterfall every time we go to Portland. We frequently stop there for last-chance potty breaks before the drive home. The last few times, the kids have asked when we could climb up to the top of the waterfall. Saturday, we did. It's about 1.25 miles to the top, all uphill switchbacks, but it's mostly paved. The kids did great! They loved seeing the origin of the waterfall and the tiny cars and people back on the ground.
There were several times on the way up that I had to remind Sweetpea to stop talking and save her energy for breathing. That girl has a lot to say. :)
