The kids and I made these handprint turkeys a few weeks ago. I meant to post them last week, and found them still sitting in my “to be blogged” folder this morning. I'm no good with posting holiday recipes and crafts way before the holiday. Bad blogger! Well, if you're a last minute person like I am, you'll appreciate this craft, because you can gather materials and complete the craft within an hour. That includes running to the store for construction paper if you need to!
I saw these little gobblers on Pinterest, but I didn't actually pin them, because they looked so simple. My apologies for being a lazy pinner and neglecting to get you a source. (And my apologies to the crafter who originally posted these!) Update: Big thank you to Cathy for providing me with the link to the original handprint turkey post! http://www.busybeekidscrafts.com/TP-Roll-Turkey.html
But yes, simple—toilet paper tube, covered with colored paper or not. Little hands (we used six per turkey) traced onto colored paper, cut out, glued to the back. Scraps for the waddle and beak. Googly eyes are fun, but you can just draw them.
Little Mister keeps calling his a peacock, so you could use different colors to make different birds. Maybe without the waddle. :)

In other Pinterest news, my chocolate peanut butter pretzel balls/chocolate peanut butter pretzel bars are going pinsane. Every once in a while, I'll check to see what people are pinning from the blog. Did you know you could do that? You type in “http://pinterest.com/source/yourwebaddresshere.com/,” substituting, of course, your actual web address for the yourwebaddresshere part. When I check mine, this is what I see:
Peanutbutterballspeanutbutterballs LEGOS! Peanutbutterballspeanutbutterballs BARS! Peanutbutterballspeanutbutterballs CHAIR COVERS!
It's quite amusing to me. And very, very flattering! I'm glad so many people like my recipe.
And then today I found this in my inbox:
I've never had 104 shares in one week. That's pretty fun to see. Thanks y'all. :)
And stay tuned! Giveaway coming soon!
